Tell me about the proposal? Bruce proposed to me at the top of the Singapore Flyer whilst we on the holiday of a lifetime. It was a total surprise as we had been together for 8 and a half years so I just thought it would never happen.
We had our wedding at Cider Mill Barns. Our feel for the day was that we just wanted our to share our special day with our friends and family. Drinks flowing and laughter all day.
I loved dress shopping. I only went to one shop for my dress, The Bridal Boutique and I didn’t feel the need to look elsewhere. I, my mom, sister and best friend all picked out dresses to try. I brought the first one I tried on after 9 as I just knew it was the one.
When I tried on ‘the dress’, I just knew it was the one. It was the dress I thought I would have as well and I know people normally have the opposite.
We went for a rustic theme on the day bridesmaids wore sage green, groom in a nice black tuxedo with out flowers being white and greens. It went lovely with the barn we got married in to.
My advice would be to have the day that you and your partner want. Try not to worry about the guests wants as if they are anything like ours, they will just be happy to see you get married to one another.
Our wedding was postponed due to covid. We were due to get married on the 19th September 2020 and following the advice this could not happen, it was a case of getting the new date set and arranging all the new suppliers to ensure all good make the new date. Luckily, we didn’t have to postpone for the 2nd time and we had the wedding we wanted with no restrictions. The only thing for us was that it was hard to get excited until 2 weeks before the new date as you always had the what if it’s postponed again last minute but we were lucky!!
Ten Feet Tall Photography. Our original photography couldn’t make the new date and we then come across Ten Feet Tall through our venue. It was like a sign as they were just amazing and played such a big part on the day. Loved them and would recommend to any bride and groom.
