How did Seth Propose?
Seth proposed on a mini break away to beautiful Anglesey in Wales. We had spent the day on the beach and thought that we might go for a quiet meal near a small harbour in Menai Bridge, a town near by. Getting ready not once did I question Seth as to why he had a pocket full of tissue – hayfever right?! We had arrived early for the meal and I thought we would stop for a drink but Seth had other ideas and took me on a beautiful walk along the Menai Straight between Wales and Anglesey we stopped under the old beautiful bridge admiring the beauty of the scene and before I knew it Seth was on one knee with people cheering from above on the bridge!
Where did you get married?
We got married in Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon and had the reception afterwards at the Swallows Nest Barn near Warwick. The church and Stratford were where my grandparents and mother had been married and the Swallows Nest Barn was the first reception venue we saw, which we fell in love with, it had everything we could want and was a perfect location.
How did you find us?
The boutique was recommended to me by a dear friend who had gotten her dress and was very happy from start to finish – I thought it would be a great place to start my search. Little did I know I too would walk out with my dress!
My mum cried… and the dress had all the features I had in mind, it felt right as soon as I walked out of the changing rooms.
How did you accesories?
My look was quite classic so I went for delicate pearl drop earrings and real flowers in my hair. A headband was made by the florist Jane Pillinger, who was fantastic. My shoes I found online in the sale at Dune and I wore a full length veil over my face for the church and behind me for actually 99% of rest of the day (because you do it once right?)
Did you have Bridesmaids?
Seth’s lovely little niece had started the ball rolling by asking to be part of the wedding as a bridesmaid, I couldn’t resist, so ended up having all of my nieces too! They wore John Lewis lace dresses and my eldest wore a dress we had found online as she lived in Italy, they all looked fabulous and I nearly cried when I saw them ready for the first time.
What did Seth wear?
My groom wore a lovely slim fitting grey suit from Richard Paul, with a cream waistcoat. I had got him cuff links from notonthehighstreet with the co-ordinates from our very first date.
Tell us about your day?
The vibe was unforgettable. I don’t think there’s much that will beat getting all your loves ones in one place to celebrate, its fantastic. I think for both of us, our favourite moment has to be getting the white rowing boat from the church through the centre of Stratford after we were married. It was quite a memory.
