Kat looking stunning in Flora Bridal

Honestly.. the big day was perfect! I couldn’t and wouldn’t have wished for anything different, we loved every second. I’m still not over it and would day the whole day again haha.

Matt and I met on bumble, he was actually my first proper internet date! Needless to say I didn’t need any others haha. I was living in Cornwall and he was in Devon at the time.

The proposal was amazing, we were in Florence and he had hired a photographer to take some pics of us as it’s a running joke that he can’t take a nice one of us. And they took us to the Piazzale Michelangelo and there he asked me. We then spent the rest of the time eating and drinking all the amazing things Italy has to offer.

For both of us the wedding Vision was about quality time with our loved ones. We didn’t want it to be rushed and that was made more evident when we (Matt getting a job) decided to move us to Australia haha.

A 3 day event with our favourite people was the goal. Then the theme came when we found our venue, Dewsall court.(I knew before I met Matt I wanted to get married at Dewsall)
Being set in the middle of the country side we wanted English garden mixed with wildflowers, soft colours with some pops of colour to have some fun with.
A lot of time on Pinterest and running ideas back and forth with my bridesmaids who were brilliant at helping me narrow down choices. I also found Instagram a great help for finding suppliers and products, I basically used it as my little black book.

My experience at BBW was everything you hope and wish for when you imagine wedding dress shopping! Messaging Madi from Australia about the dress and the limited time I had in England to come and try on dresses, Madi was so accommodating and went over and above to help me, not only that but the experience of the appointment was just soo lovely! I left feeling like a bride and that I was special. I have told friends about BBW and say that it’s worth the travel, if I travelled from Aus then anywhere is closer haha.

I loved every second of the day honestly but the morning was so calm and fun. I remember walking around and one of my bridesmaids asked me if I was ok or was doing something and I responded with “no, everything done but I feel like I should be doing something” so she told me to sit down with a drink haha.
I’ve been a bridesmaid a fair few times and I’ve seen hectic wedding mornings and I really didn’t want that, and I didn’t. It was so chilled and lovely. We were ahead of schedule with H&M and were ready early so my bridesmaids and I had a drink whilst waiting. That was my fave moment, soaking in the calm and the excitement.

One bit of advice to brides would be, find suppliers that you like and that are rooting for you and your wedding day. We have some very talented and skilled friends and we called on those people, not necessarily for freebies but to have just great friends be apart of our day in a different way.
We had met with suppliers for the wedding that made me and Matt feel like we had to earn them to be our suppliers, like it was a privilege for us to have them and that us getting married wasn’t the sole reason and purpose of the arrangement. Those aren’t the suppliers you want with you on your day, well at least I didn’t.

Don’t get me wrong I completely know theres a trader of skill set for money I get that but on your special day you want suppliers that are as excited to be there and be your supplier as you are them. I cherish and am so thankful for every single supplier big and small who helped make our wedding perfect.  I would recommend all of them to anyone and here is some if not all (smooth transition)
