Holly just living her best life in custom Jesus Peiro
Holly is so special to us as her lovely mum also brought her dress from us a couple of years ago. The family is just the warmest and we have enjoyed every second spent sharing the dress moments with them.
Holly’s journey is below
Paul and I met at work, we both teach at a secondary school in Coventry. We were friends for a while until Paul plucked up the courage to ask me on a date!
Paul proposed in Canterbury after renting out a tree house for the weekend. It was cold and we had the fire on outside, we had been waiting for the wood burner hot tub to warm up and just about as I was about to get changed to go in Paul pulled me back and popped the question! He had been waiting all night to ask me but didn’t have the courage to but realised if he didn’t then he wouldn’t be able to ask me in the hot tub!
I wanted a really minimalist wedding without lots of fuss, much of our decoration mirrored whatever we already had in our home and we actually now have some of the lanterns and candle holders in our living room! My mum and I took great pleasure in buying little bits and my stepdad even made our wooden archway himself.
I loved every minute! Madi was really good when I was really on the fence and unsure of what I really wanted. I knew that I wanted a slim dress with a square neckline but I couldn’t find anything that I loved so I was thrilled when Madi said that Jesus Peiro dresses could be customised and I could take the top of one dress and the skirt of another!
My favourite moment was the confetti toss and walking hand in hand with Paul after our wedding ceremony. We were both so nervous before the ceremony and it was such a relief getting through the ceremony and getting to see all of our friends and family be so happy for us.
What advice would you give to brides planning a wedding?
Make sure your day is all about you and your husband to be! Lots of people will have different opinions on every element of your wedding but it shouldn’t be anything less than exactly what you and your future husband want.
