Today we want to show off the stunning Charlene and Simon on their wedding held at Deer Park. Charlene is super stylish which made helping her find her wedding dress a dream. We knew instantly that Jesus Peiro would be the designer for her, and Charlene wasn’t afraid to stand out.
The Proposal:
Simon proposed in Wales in my family Chalet on top of a hill looking over the Ocean. I wake up to find Simon down on his knee while presenting me with my beautiful eye smacker of a diamond ring. It was absolutely chucking it down outside we were completely under mist & cloud. The perfect setting, I wouldn’t have wanted it to be anywhere else!
The Venue:
Deer Park has gorgeous rooms, a beautiful garden and all surrounded by stunning countryside for miles.
Deer Park was the perfect intimate setting for us, to host close family and friends with a stunning outlook of fields galore.
My Dad performed the Ceremony in the garden which was the most spectacular special moment for both Simon and I. This was a massive surprise to all our guests!
The Day:
We both got ready with our family and friends in separate locations.
The bridal party finished getting ready in the bridal room at Deer Park while we spied on all the guests arriving.
It was incredibly windy which made our day even more dramatic and surprising especially as the ceremony was in the garden.
My beautiful Bridesmaids and Flowergirls made their entrance first to the sounds of ‘Chapel of Love’ by The Dixie Cups and then my aisle walk with my Dad was to ‘Loving You’ by Minnie Riperton.
After the ceremony the throwing of the bouquet took place to the sounds of Beyonce ‘Single Ladies’ which was great fun. It took three attempts for the catch to take place as the wind kept whipping the bouquet away!
Simon and I were then bagpiped into the Wedding Breakfast room where we ate the most delicious three course meal courtesy of Belle House. The food was just exquisite!
The cutting of the first cake took place which were two magnificent Fruit Cake Swans made by my Mum and a complete surprise to us. Luckily Mum had whipped up another cake to be cut so we could savour the swans.
The evening cake was the most amazing illusion cake which was a Cheese Wheel with Mice poking out! Yes, we love cake! This cake accompanied a table of delicious cheeses, crackers, fruit and Simon’s Mum’s homemade chutneys.
The evening entertainment was a night full of dancing, we actually did our own playlist which was one of the best choices we made. We had speakers and lighting set up and had all our favourite songs on. The Ushers organised a Ceilidh for the evening too, which was so much fun and complete chaos!
To end our perfect day and evening all our guests made a leaving arch for us to dance through where they waved us off in our decorated balloon/can jingling car with our very own chauffers.
First Dance:
Baywatch theme tune, ‘I’m Always Here’. Choreographed by us!
Favourite moment:
Walking hand in hand with my Dad down the aisle where we giggled the whole way and that magical moment seeing Simon waiting for me was truly special (especially as we hadn’t seen or spoken to each other for the week before hand).
Simon’s Fav Moment:
The Ceremony, seeing Charlene walking towards me down the aisle with her Dad who then took centre stage to perform our Wedding Ceremony.

Picking the dress:
I went to The Bridal Boutique having tried on what I thought was every dress possible and still hadn’t found that one special dress. Madi introduced me to Jesus Peiro and it was no looking back. It was everything and more what I was looking for, contemporary yet elegant and sophisticated.
